As missed lease re payments and delinquent mortgages stack up throughout the state, Ca Democratic lawmakers Tuesday introduced a number of sweeping proposals directed at shielding homeowners, renters and landlords through the financial fallout associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
An agenda submit by Sen. Toni Atkins, Democrat from north park and frontrunner associated with state Senate, would give qualifying tenants a decade to settle missed re payments straight to hawaii, which will in turn compensate landlords for the rent that is missed income tax credits that might be offered to pay for mortgages along with other bills.
